Stevenson, Cape Town presents the premiere screening of the film Empire: 29º00' S, 24º00' E.

The Empire project investigates the architectural, cultural and spiritual traces left behind by Dutch East India Company (VOC) traders and colonists in Asia and Africa. The project consists of 5 experimental documentaries shot and exhibited in collaboration with local partners in 5 different countries: India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
Screening at Stevenson will focus on a documentary about Cape Town’s Cape Malay Choir and scenes of day-to-day life in Orania.

One night only: Thursday 10 November, screening begins at 6pm
