Jonathan Garnham at YOUNGBLACKMAN

Jonathan Garnham takes Albert Speer's 'Cathedral of Light' - a spectacular light feature consisting of 130 anti-aircraft searchlights aimed skyward which surrounded the audience at the Nuremberg rallies - as the source of inspiration for this work. Consisting of a mirror ball with a history, four lights which mark an 'X', smoke and disco music, Garnham subtly fractures the notion of monumental sculpture and the past with which it is associated.

The exhibition opens at 6pm, Friday 23 April.
