'Cheval de Bataille'

Throughout France from April to October, diverse historical and monumental sites - from fortresses to monasteries - will be hosting incarnations of the exhibition 'Monuments et Animaux' (Monuments and Animals), which explores the relationship between heritage, animals and contemporary art. In the Fortress of Salses, the focus lies on the military uses of horses, in an exhibition called 'Cheval de Bataille' (War Horse) which includes Gavin Younge's 'Quagga Project', installed in the stables.
