'Contemporary Creation and Social Dynamics' - Dak'Art 2012

The theme for the 10th Dak'Art Biennale - 'Contemporary Creation and Social Dynamics' - examines the dialogue that contemporary artists maintain with a social environment which is in constant mutation. Curated by Christine Eyene, Nadira Laggoune and Riason Naidoo, the Biennale features artists from across the African continent and diaspora. South Africans featuring include Bridget Baker, James Beckett, Paul Emmanuel, Jessica Foli, Gabrielle Goliath, Mohau Modisakeng, Ndikhumbule Ngqinambi and Lerato Shadi. In addition, work by Berni Serle and Peter Clarke will be on exhibition at the National Gallery.
