Geers' ‘Irrespektiv’ in Italy
Kendell Geers at Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento and RoveretoMART Rovereto presents Kendell Geer’s solo exhibition ‘Irrespektiv.’ The title, in parody of the term "retrospective", immediately expresses the tone of the exhibition and suggests its political and provocative stance. With his works, Geers explores the geographic, linguistic, political, social, sexual and psychological limits and borders of man.
The exhibition includes Geer’s POSTPUNKPAGANPOP installation consisting, in part, of an inter-active labyrinth made of barbed wire. ‘Irrespektiv’ is a European co-production that brings together museums and art institutions from Belgium, the United Kingdom, France and Italy.
