Louise Bourgeois dies at age 98

Loiuse Bourgeois, the arch dame of sculpture, passed away in New York on the 1st of June 2010. Known as eccentric and outspoken, her career spanned more than 70 years. Her work centred on her childhood and her adolesence. She was well-known for her giant spiders, as well as being the first woman to have a retrospective at MOMA.
She died of a heart attack at the age of 98.
