Ester le Roux has recently been appointed Curator of Oliewenhuis Art Museum, a satellite of the National Museum, Bloemfontein. Le Roux, who started working as the Education Officer at the museum in July 2005, had previously been engaged for several years in part-time teaching at the Central University of Technology.

She has a passionate interest in contemporary South African Art and considers herself privileged to be in a position to introduce this to a wider audience and to play a part in the conservation of the Museum's collection of valuable heritage objects.

Le Roux aims to continue to expand Oliewenhuis Art Museum's status as one of the best art museums in the country and plans to maintain the development of interest in the museum by Bloemfontein's local general public.
