Mouchette

The April issue of Art in America is running an article on State of the (On-line) Art by Robert Atkins, the author of ArtSpeak: A Guide to Contemporary Ideas, Movements and Buzzwords (Abbeville Press). This is what Atkins has to say about this month's project, Mouchette: "One of my favourites ... is Mouchette, the chronicle of a fictional 12-year-old web artist who will commit suicide at age 13. Mouchette seeks visitor response to her website scenarios, including advice on how to commit suicide, a search for the author of an appropriated image, and a sensorial reaction to her Digital Flesh and Blood."
