artSPACE berlin presents a body of work by Ivor Sias. These mixed media collage works take the question/statement ‘What if’ as a point of enquiry on how we see and understand what we see.  Sias states, ‘This question, this exclamation opens the door to our way of perception. The beauty of the moment lies not in one thing, but in tension between things. The pleasure we derive from trying to resolve that opposition is a mental thing and our eyes are just intermediaries.

We ask the question, we exclaim – but it is the question which asks of itself as it responds to the world.’
