Santu Mofokeng Exhibition

Unknown Artist at Aberystwyth Arts Centre

After its success in London last year, Santu Mofokeng's first UK solo show - produced by Autograph ABP in partnership with IZIKO South African National Gallery - travels to Aberwystwyth Arts Centre. With subjects as visually diverse as religious rituals, images of memorial sites and historical activity, or desolate landscapes, Mofokeng subverts the comfort zones of racial and cultural memory, and questions the politics of representation and the objectifying gaze of the photographer.
