  • G' day (no I'm not Australian),
In any case, I am a little at the end of my patience and any ideas. You see I'm trying to find a print of the artwork by Jan van Minderhout, The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba.

I have searched the net and only found some Dutch marathon runners and a programmer by the name of "Minderhouten". Since I am quite a novice where art is concerned I thought that turning to experts (with a website) could be the answer.

This is rather important to me because a dear friend of mine had a print of the work in her house when she was still growing up with her Grandmother. Since then the house was sold, the children split up and the print was lost. I know the original was sold some time ago in Johannesburg, but there must be prints of the work for sale somewhere.

I am waiting in anticipation, thank you very much.

  • I received from my grandfather this beautiful painting, which he in turn received as a gift from Frans Claerhout himself. The subject is a man carrying a bunch of corn over one shoulder. The measurements are: height 60cm x width 50cm (unframed work). It has a gold frame around. Colours used: browns, greens, blue, pinks.

I have to unfortunately sell this painting, as I desperately need money. Should you know of anyone interested, they can contact me on 082-9587640 a/h or 021-8433274 o/h.

    Thanking you in advance.
