'Misconduct'
Anthea Moys at The Linder Auditorium'Misconduct' is an experiment in conducting and performance. The conductor will attempt to conduct an orchestra of approximately 25 dancers instead of musicians. In reimagining this 'new kind of orchestra' the dancers will use their bodies to respond and reinterpret the conductors movements as he ‘conducts’ a piece of silent music which only he can hear. The piece is included in the Joburg International Mozart Festival and will be performed on Sunday the 8th of February at 3pm at the Linder Auditorium.
