This week: After three and a half years online, ArtThrob is taking a momentous step: we are going to launch a regular print edition! Perhaps you read the launch story in this month's SA City Life. Every two months, starting in May, you will be able to buy ArtThrob in a range of stores or get it delivered to you by subscription. Some of the contents, like reviews, will be available online and in the magazine too, and other material will be found in the magazine only.
Most magazines go from print to cyberspace - we are doing it the other way round! Having attracted a loyal following - 43 000 hits in January - we want to reach all those people interested in art who don't have easy access to a computer, or who just enjoy magazines. Essential for schools and libraries too. The price will be very affordable.
Is this a good idea? We really need your support to convince advertisers they will be spending wisely. Please take a moment to email the message below:
Next week we will publish a full questionnaire so we know what you think should be in the print version of ArtThrob.
