Hannelie Coetzee

Work by Hannelie Coetzee
from the PhotoZA website

WEBSITE OF THE MONTH

PhotoZA
www.photoza.co.za

Johannesburg photographic gallery PhotoZA has smart new premises - the old CD Wherehouse location in the Mews of Rosebank - and a slick, revamped website to match. The index page shows off the gallery to great effect, with little thumbnails lovingly documenting the space from every conceivable angle. A bright red sofa offers a rare dash of colour in the space - and on the predominantly black, shades-of-grey and white website. A handful of photographers is showcased in similar style, with good quality miniatures clicking through to larger versions of the same images (caption information is confined to the "alt text", however - fine if you're on a PC but annoyingly inaccessible if you're on a Mac). Currently represented on site are present exhibitors Hannelie Coetzee and Graeme Williams, in addition to Jurgen Schadeberg, Sally Gaule, Jeremy Jowel, Athol Lewis, Thinus Mathee and Michael Meyersfeld. An email update promises new additions and exhibitions in the weeks to come ...
