I wish someone would inform Mr Kebble that when displaying thumbnail photographs of literal artworks on an online art gallery, as he does with the winners of the 2003 Brett Kebble Art Awards, the scale and dimensions of each winning artworks ARE important to mention, together with the artist's name! Furthermore, under the entry headings of Mixed Media it is important to include the nature of the materials each artist has incorporated in his or her particular work. We cannot possibly guess that from a two-dimensional slide representation!
Perhaps Mr Kebble and his curators need to "brush up" on local and international trends in art. There is more to Mixed Media than two-dimensional so-called high art forms, which he seems to be clinging to. One can take the entrepreneur to the art but can you infuse the art into the entrepreneur?

I own Bohema House Gallery in England. We offer contemporary art by British and Latvian artists and I am now looking to show work by South African artists. I would like to put a listing in your magazine for established artists and graduating students who are interested in showing through us to get in touch with me and send photos of their work. I look forward to hearing from you.
