International Art Fair launches in the Asian Pacific
The launch of a new Asian Pacific contemporary art fair 'ShContemporary' is adding to an already busy international art calendar next year. The first edition runs in Shanghai from September 6 - 9.
'ShContemporary' aims to create a key opportunity for networking the best galleries, dealers, artists, collectors and professionals in both the Asian Pacific and international arenas, as well as developing and stimulating existing and emerging markets, enabling new interaction between Asian and 'Western' art systems and contemporary cultures.
'ShContemporary' will have stalwarts of the international art fair scene planning and presiding over the event. These include Lorenzo A. Rudolph, director of Art Basel from 1991 to 2000 and initiator of Art Basel Miami Beach, as well as world-renowned dealer and art strategist, Pierre Huber.
