Pretoria artist chosen for UK workshop
Nkosikhona Ngcobo is the sole artist from South Africa selected to participate in Brazier's International Artists' Workshop which will bring together 24 artists from such countries as the United States, Lebanon, Palestine, Argentina, Japan. The workshop will take place at Brazier's College in Oxfordshire between August 6 and 22, and funders include the Arts Council of England and the Ford Foundation.
Ngcobo, who studied at the Vaal Triangle Technikon, last exhibited
in 2005, when his 'In Your Hands' initiative attempted to combine
old and new technologies in an electronic exhibition via 12 rounds
of email featuring pieces from a variety of artists and photographers,
including Siphiwe Zwane, Nelson Ndlebi and Rikki van Zyl. For more,
