Artist's Case Transferred to Cape High Court

Artist Zwelethu Mthethwa appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Friday for allegedly killing a 23-year-old Woodstock sex worker, Nokuphila Moudy Kumalo, in April of last year.

The case has now been transferred to the Western Cape High Court for trial. Mthethwa has not yet pleaded to the charge. According to Legalbrief he is due to appear in the High Court for a pre-trial hearing on 25 April. The trial is expected to run from 2 to 26 June.
