Potria Zvavahera Wins Art Prize

Portia Zvavahera has won the fourth edition of the FNB Art Prize that forms part of the events at the Joburg Art Fair, which will be taking place between the 22-24 August.

All the galleries participating at the Fair are given the opportunity to nominate an artist for consideration by the Art Fair's panel of judges.

The Fair's press release states that: 'Portia Zvavahera is an exceptional talent. Hailing from Juru, Zimbabwe and based in Harare, Zvavahera masterfully combines a vivid sense of colour, textile-like printed patterns and almost crude lines in her expressionist paintings.'
