Subject: South African residency programmes
I am delighted to hear from you people down south again and I really must commend all your effort! I am a Nigerian and since my last visit to South Africa I have been looking forward to take part in any exhibition in South Africa (group or solo). Also I would have love to take part in a residency programme in South Africa but, i just can't find a place to. I would be glad if you could help me out.

I would suggest you look at gallery listings on the site and perhaps contact someone regarding exhibiting here. Residency programmes are few and far between in South Africa, but I can suggest you contact Greatmore Studios artmore@mweb.co.za They may be able to help you or put you in contact with someone who can.

Subject: Retrospectives
My question is this: why do the large art institutions not take more initiative in bringing the art careers of more late and mid-career artists to the attention of the public in locally curated retrospectives?
Good question. I imagine they will probably say something about the costs of such productions.
