Goodman Gallery

Fairweather House, Woodstock

Goodman Gallery to open in Cape Town

In the same month as a birthday party to celebrate 40 years as South Africa's premier art gallery, gallerist Linda Givon has signed to open a brand new space in Cape Town. Located on Woodstock's main road on the top floor of Fairweather House, once a clothing factory and currently undergoing total renovation, the expansivc new space will be the last word in 'industrial chic'. Entry to the gallery will be directly from the parking level to a private lift.

This latest venture reflects Givon's faith in the increasing buoyancy of the art market, and her belief that Woodstock is the newest trendy area of Cape Town, a belief reinforced by the success of the newly opened Biscuit Mill on the lower main road with its mix of small galleries and design shops and its instantly popular Saturday morning market.

The Goodman Gallery, Cape Town is scheduled to open in February 2007.
